Some of us are new to blogging so Bob asked if I would write up some directions on how to post your pictures. We all want to see each other's work.
If you are reading this post then you are already on the GroveFoto Blog. Look up in the top right corner of the screen and you should see "Sign In". Click there. The screen will change to the sign in page for Blogger. Don't worry, you haven't lost the GroveFoto blog, we'll get back to it later. Towards the top of the screen, next to Blogger's Logo, you should see two white boxes. In the first one, type your user name (email address). In the second box, type in your password. (if you do not have a password set up yet, you need to go back to your emailed invite from the blog to be an author. Follow the instructions and it will walk you through the steps to setting up your account and password). Now click your mouse on the blue box, "Sign In", it's right below the user name box. Blogger should bring up a page that will list all of your blogs hosted by it. Find "GroveFoto" and just below it should be a big blue box that says "New Post". Click on it and up will come a new post page that's ready for you to start writing in.
Click your mouse in the "Title" box and type in the title for your post. Then click your mouse in the larger box below the "Title" box. Anything typed in this box will be your actual post.
To add your pictures, click your mouse on the little box that looks like land and sky, located right next to the "ABC" spell check in the menu header of the post box (tan shaded area). A new window will pop up that will allow you to browse your own pictures from your computer. Be sure to use the left side of the window, under the title, "Add An Image From Your Computer". If you have more than one picture to upload (we know you do!), click on the blue colored "Add Another Image". You can click on it several times, with a total of 5 uploads at a time. Click "Browse" at the end of each empty box and your c drive contents should pop up. Find your way to your pictures and simply double-click on the picture you want to upload (add) to your post. This should automatically fill in it's location in the once-empty box image box in the upload window. When you've added up to five photos, one in each box, click the orange box, "Upload Image". This may take awhile but once it's done, a window will pop up that shows all of your added photos. Click on "Add Images" to actually place them in your post. If you have more photos to add, simply repeat the same steps.
You can move your photos in the post by holding down a click from your mouse on a photo and slowly dragging it up or down, depending on where you want it. When you have it in the spot you want, simply release the the mouse button.
Blogger automatically saves your post every few minutes. But to be sure you don't lose anything, click on the blue "Save Now" button every so often.
At the bottom of the post box, there is an empty box that to the right of it says, "Labels for this post:". Type your name in this box. That way, Blogger can sort our posts by name if asked to.
When you are all done, there is a blue "Preview" at the top right corner of the post box. If you click on that, it will let you view how your post will look before you actually publish it. To return to your post without publishing it, look in the same location as the blue "Preview" and it should say "Hide Preview" now. Click that and it will bring you back to where you were.
Ready to publish? Click on the orange box "Publish Post" and you'll release your masterpieces to the blog for all of us to enjoy.
